JOB DESCRIPTION – MINING ENGINEER

Job Purpose

Yong Bo Tao Enterprises is seeking a qualified and experienced Mining Engineer to oversee and coordinate mining operations, ensuring that mining activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved mining plans, production targets, and applicable mining regulations.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop, implement, and monitor mine production plans and schedules.
* Supervise daily mining activities, including excavation, drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and material handling.
* Conduct mine planning, surveying, and production forecasting.
* Monitor mining operations to ensure optimal extraction of gold-bearing ore.
* Coordinate with geological and mineral processing teams to ensure efficient movement and processing of ore.
* Assess ore quality and ensure that mineralized material is properly identified, extracted, stockpiled, and transported.
* Monitor mining equipment utilization and coordinate with mechanical teams to minimize operational downtime.
* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
* Ensure mining activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
* Identify operational challenges and recommend appropriate engineering and technical solutions.
* Assist with mine design, pit development, access roads, drainage systems, and other mine infrastructure.
* Monitor production costs and assist management in improving operational efficiency.
* Supervise and provide technical guidance to mining supervisors, operators, and other site personnel.
* Train and mentor local employees and junior technical staff in proper mining practices.
* Conduct regular inspections of mining areas and identify potential safety or operational risks.
* Assist management in implementing measures to improve gold recovery and overall mine productivity.
* Maintain accurate technical records, production data, mine plans, and operational documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

* Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering or a related field.
* Relevant professional experience in gold mining operations.
* Strong knowledge of open-pit and/or underground mining practices.
* Experience in mine planning, production management, and site supervision.
* Knowledge of mining health, safety, and environmental requirements.
* Ability to read and interpret mine plans, geological information, and technical drawings.
* Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a demanding mining environment.

Reporting

The Mining Engineer will report directly to the Mine Manager/Operations Manager and will work closely with the geology, mineral processing, engineering, and site management teams.
