PUMP FITTER
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assembling all estate pumps and carrying out steel fabrication.
• Maintaining all estate pumps and reporting mechanical faults and areas requiring attention to supervisors.
• Conducting routine maintenance and installation of pumps, pipes, compressors, and other mechanical equipment.
• Interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Repairing pumps and maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.
• Maintaining proper records of machine parts replaced during maintenance and repair activities.

Qualifications and Experience
• Class 1 Fitter and Turner (including Machining).
• National Certificate in Machine shop Engineering.
• At least 3years post qualifying experience working with valves, pumps and pipes.
• Good trouble shooting and problem-solving skills, with high knowledge of safe working standards and housekeeping.
• Ability to read and interpret user manuals and drawings correctly.
• Experience in irrigation and water estates is an added advantage.
