Duties and Responsibilities
The Role: What We Expect From You

* Develop and execute the Bancassurance strategy in alignment with the Bank’s Retail Banking and Insurance Cluster strategies, driving sustainable revenue growth, customer penetration, cross-selling, and overall business growth objectives.
* Drive the growth of insurance sales, customer acquisition and portfolio profitability across the Bank’s distribution channels.
* Lead business development initiatives and identify opportunities to expand the Bancassurance portfolio and market reach.
* Build and maintain strategic relationships with customers, insurance partners, regulators and key stakeholders.
* Collaborate with CBZ Insurance, CBZ Life and CBZ Bank Retail Banking teams to maximise cross-selling opportunities and enhance customer value propositions.
* Monitor sales performance, market trends and portfolio growth, implementing appropriate interventions to achieve agreed targets.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, risk management standards and internal policies.
* Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team while fostering a strong sales, service and performance culture.


Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required

* Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related discipline.
* Possess a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Leadership, Finance, Insurance or a related field.
* Possess a professional qualification such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or equivalent.
* Have a minimum of 7–10 years’ progressive experience in banking and insurance, including exposure to Bancassurance-related roles.
* Possess sound knowledge of insurance products, Bancassurance distribution models, regulatory requirements and risk management principles.
* Have strong business development, relationship management and stakeholder engagement capabilities, with the ability to build and sustain strategic partnerships.
* Demonstrate strong leadership, analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, coupled with excellent communication and influencing skills.
