Description
Our client, a company operating in the hardware and electrical industry, is seeking a dynamic, results-driven and experienced Sales Representative to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, prospecting for customers, managing sales opportunities and actively participating in government and private-sector tender opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities
Actively prospect for new customers and business opportunities within the hardware, electrical, construction and related sectors.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential customers.
Promote and sell the company's hardware and electrical products to existing and prospective customers.
Identify, monitor and respond to relevant tender opportunities.
Demonstrate strong knowledge and practical experience in using the Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) System.
Assist in the preparation and submission of tender documents within stipulated deadlines.
Conduct regular customer visits, calls and follow-ups to generate and convert leads into sales.
Prepare quotations and follow up with customers until orders are confirmed.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, companies, institutions, government departments and other potential customers.
Achieve agreed sales, revenue and customer-acquisition targets.
Maintain accurate records of prospects, quotations, tenders, customer interactions and sales activities.
Prepare regular sales and prospecting reports for management.
Provide professional customer service and support to existing and prospective clients.

Qualifications and Experience
Degree or Diploma in Sales or a related sales qualification.
2–3 years' experience in sales, preferably within the hardware, electrical, construction supplies or related industry.
Practical knowledge and experience using the e-GP System and handling tender processes.
Proven ability to prospect, generate leads and convert opportunities into sales.
Must possess a clean Class 4 Driver's Licence.
Must be computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant business systems.
Applicants should be between 22 and 30 years of age.
