PHARMACEUTICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

A vacancy has arisen for the above position reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reports to, and receives instructions from, the Sales and Marketing Manager.
• Prepare the product marketing plan (develop strategy and tactics using global product documentation, if any).
• Prepares periodic reports on market analysis, competitors’ analysis and prepares prompt response to market trends.
• Submitting weekly activity reports and continues market intelligence.
• Implements the marketing strategies in liaison with the Sales and Marketing Manager.
• Evaluates and proposes plan of action on all promotional activities conducted.
• New product launches and carries out field visits ensuring maximum market coverage.
• Participates in events organized by professional associations in the medical/pharmaceutical field.
• Identifies trends, opportunities and threats for the assigned market and proposes appropriate measures.
• Evaluate the marketing mixes of products assigned to be promoted and evaluates product performance on both financial and marketing metrics.
• Responsible for the relevant product range’s profit and loss position in the market.
• Manages and optimizes relationships with relevant influencers within the market, by developing effective relationships.
• Performs other duties that may be assigned to him by the Sales and Marketing Manager.

Qualifications and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• A Degree in Marketing is a must.
• A diploma in nursing or pharmaceutical technology. A strong degree in Life Sciences can be considered.
• A post graduate degree is an added advantage e.g. MBL/MBA.
• Must have worked in a pharmaceutical company, or related field, for at least 2 years as a Sales Representative, or equivalent.
