About Us:
Merchant Couriers is an innovative on-demand delivery service startup dedicated to providing exceptional service and reliability to our clients. We are seeking a motivated Customer Service, Sales, and Admin Representative to come on board and work with us to grow our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Customer Service Excellence: Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive customer experience. Ability to write good English and communicate effectively with different stakeholders in the value chain.

- Order Management: Handle new orders on our website and on WhatsApp, from entry to completion, managing the entire process to ensure timely deliveries.

- Sales Opportunities: Identify and pursue B2B and B2C sales opportunities to drive revenue growth, developing strategies to attract new clients.
Also able to grow sales revenues and get compensated for performance above and beyond basic income.

- Efficient Operations: Implement and refine operational procedures to enhance efficiency across all aspects of service delivery.

- Billing and Invoicing: Manage online bookings and billing processes, ensuring accuracy and prompt payment collection, receipting and accounts receivable collections.

- Logistics Oversight: Monitor subcontractors and 3rd party delivery partner networks, with an ability to know which providers to use when it's not as obvious. Choosing the right delivery provider to ensure optimal delivery service for customers.

- Service Development: Monitor competitors as and when you're in transit. Suggest new service packages and promotional models to meet customer needs and market demands.

- Digital Marketing Support: Contribute to promotional messaging or copywriting for WhatsApp and sms digital marketing strategies to enhance company visibility and growth.

Qualifications:

- A self-starter who can work independently under minimal supervision. You will need to be very responsible as this role requires business maturity. You will start independently, and the team will grow as the business grows, and part of your duties will be handed over to new hires.
- Proven experience in customer service, sales, or administrative roles, preferably in a startup environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- It's important to think outside the box.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using online platforms, booking systems and basic billing portals.
- Discipline handling petty cash responsibly, ethically, and to bank all cash when it's required without excuses.
- A proactive approach to identifying new sales opportunities on the streets, connecting with 3rd party delivery riders and business partners.
- Clean Class 4 driver's licence required. This is a must for you to appreciate how courier drivers and riders operate.
There is no Car available yet for this role.

Bonus skills:
- Experience in courier, freight forwarding, or transportation will be a plus.

Requirements:

- Short commute to work will be preferable, but not a must.
- You must be a punctual individual, even in your personal lifestyle.
- We need you to be available to start from 15 June 2026. Training will start by then.
- Must be available for a minimum of 3months probation, no excuses.
- This role requires day-to-day focus. If juggling multiple side hustles, it will not be suitable for you.
