Job Description
Full-time | Residential | Ebenezer Matobo, Zimbabwe | Reports to: Cropping Manager
The Cropping Coach oversees the day-to-day operations of a 10-hectare cropping unit while coaching a team of 15-20 apprentices. The role combines productive agriculture with hands-on apprentice training, leadership development and discipleship. The Cropping Coach ensures crops are produced efficiently and profitably while creating an environment where apprentices grow in skills, character and their walk with Christ.

Duties and Responsibilities
The role:
• Cropping Production & Management - oversee land prep, planting, irrigation, pest control, harvesting & post-harvesting management; manage records & bio-security for the unit; assist with budgeting, planning & reporting for the unit; work closely with Cropping Manager & other coaches to ensure effective coordination across productive learning areas.
• Apprentice Coaching & Development - lead 15-20 apprentices through hands-on training; demonstrate best practice; give regular coaching & feedback & create opportunities for them to develop leadership skills & strong work habits.
• Discipleship & Community Life - Build meaningful relationships with apprentices & support their spiritual growth; model servant leadership; participate in discipleship activities such as Family Night; contribute to a caring, Christ-centred culture


Qualifications and Experience
Requirements:
• Diploma, certificate or practical experience in crop production or related field.
• Practical experience in crop production & irrigation systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead & work effectively with people.
• Strong organisational skills, including record-keeping, planning & communication.
• Ability to teach & coach others.
An Ebenezer graduate would be highly desirable
