AUTOMOTIVE MARKETPLACE MANAGER

About the Opportunity
We are building one of Zimbabwe's most ambitious automotive ventures, a modern, technology-driven vehicle marketplace and auction platform operating on a proven international model.
Our platform connects vehicle sellers, buyers, dealerships, garages, fleet operators, insurers, transporters, and automotive service providers through a seamless digital ecosystem. We are now seeking a commercially sharp, well-networked Automotive Marketplace Manager to drive growth and build the partnerships that will define this market.
The Role
Reporting to senior leadership, you will be the engine behind marketplace growth, recruiting sellers, dealerships, garages, fleet operators, insurers, and buyers, while managing partnerships and driving active listing and auction volumes. This is a business development, sales, and relationship management role rolled into one.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
• Identify and recruit vehicle sellers, dealerships, and automotive partners across Zimbabwe.
• Build and manage relationships with garages, insurers, fleet owners and transport operators
• Generate new business opportunities and develop a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
• Negotiate and secure mutually beneficial partnership arrangements.
Vehicle Acquisition & Seller Onboarding
• Source vehicles suitable for listing on the platform.
• Guide sellers through registration and onboarding to ensure a smooth experience.
• Ensure all listings meet quality standards, accurate descriptions, professional photographs, and complete documentation.
Service Partner Network
• Recruit garages, mechanics and towing operators
• Build a trusted, verified network of automotive service providers that enhances platform value.
Buyer Acquisition & Engagement
• Grow the registered buyer and auction participant base.
• Respond to buyer enquiries and support engagement throughout the purchase journey.
• Contribute to retention strategies that keep buyers active on the platform.
Marketing & Promotion
• Execute digital and field marketing campaigns to drive awareness and listings.
• Promote vehicles and auctions across social media and relevant digital channels.
• Represent the brand at industry events, vehicle markets, and exhibitions.
Reporting & Performance
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, partnerships, and client interactions.
• Submit weekly and monthly performance reports against agreed KPIs.
• Monitor marketplace growth metrics and proactively recommend improvements.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
• Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Automotive Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in sales, business development, marketing, or automotive services.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to close.
• Proficiency in social media marketing and digital platforms.
• Ability to work independently, manage a pipeline, and consistently achieve targets.
Preferred
• Existing relationships within the Zimbabwean automotive industry.
• Experience in vehicle sales, auctions, insurance, logistics, or fleet management.
• Familiarity with online marketplace platforms and digital auction systems.
• Valid driver's licence and own vehicle
