WE ARE HIRING : ASSISTANT SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT PRACTITIONER:
EASTERN REGION
Duties and Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
• Advising relevant Branches and overseeing that laid down safety standards are being adhered to.
• Explaining the National Social Security Authority's policies and relating statutes safety standards to employees as per
statutory requirements and checking/enforcing
adherence.
• Assessing and training staff on safety hazards and recommending control measures within workplaces.
• Monitoring and arranging for food handlers to undergo medical examinations in consultation with supervisor.
• Advising employees on safe handling and storage of flammable substances and attending
within limits to spillage of corrosive acids.
• Demonstrating correct and proper use of protective clothing to employees.
• Promoting the setting up of safety committees and teaching employees on safety awareness.
• Assisting in carrying out safety audits system wide.
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements
• A minimum of five (5) GCE 'O' level passes at 'C' or better including Science, Mathematics and English Language.
• A Diploma in Environmental Health and be registered with the Environmental Health Professions Council.
• Completed the Occupational, Safety, Health and Environmental Management Course (OSHEMAC), (NSSA).
• Experience in Industrial Safety.
