Social Media Manager and Content Creator
About the Role
We are a growing fashion retail and wholesale business operating in Harare — Dhola-Dhola, a high-energy affordable clothing brand. We are looking for a creative, driven, and digitally savvy Social Media Manager and Content Creator to build, grow, and manage the online presence of both brands across all relevant platforms.
This is a hands-on, results-driven role. You will be responsible for everything from shooting product content to writing captions, managing communities, running paid campaigns, and reporting on performance. If you understand the Zimbabwean market, know how to make content that stops the scroll, and can adapt your tone between a vibrant mass-market brand and a premium lifestyle brand, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
• Plan, shoot, edit, and publish high-quality photo and video content for both brands across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp Business
• Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar for each brand with a minimum of 5 posts per week per brand
• Create short-form video content including Reels, TikToks, and WhatsApp Status updates
• Design branded graphics, promotional materials, and story templates using tools such as Canva or Adobe Express
Community Management
• Respond to all comments, DMs, and WhatsApp enquiries within 2 hours during business hours
• Build and nurture online communities and customer relationships across all platforms
• Manage the WhatsApp broadcast lists
• Handle customer complaints and escalate where necessary
Strategy & Growth
• Develop and execute platform-specific growth strategies for each brand
• Identify and engage relevant local influencers, stylists, and brand ambassadors
• Plan and execute seasonal campaigns, product drops, and promotional events online
• Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities and trends in the Zimbabwean fashion market
Paid Advertising
• Set up, manage, and optimise Facebook and Instagram paid ad campaigns for both brands
• Monitor ad spend, performance metrics, and return on investment
• Adjust targeting, creative, and budget based on campaign performance
Reporting & Analytics
• Provide a weekly performance report covering reach, engagement, follower growth, and conversion metrics for each brand
• Use insights to continuously improve content strategy and posting schedules
• Track WhatsApp enquiry volumes and conversion rates
Requirements
• Strong portfolio demonstrating content created for retail, fashion, or lifestyle brands
• Experience in short-form video creation and editing (CapCut, InShot, or similar)
• Experience in graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Express
• Excellent written communication skills in English
• Deep understanding of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp Business platforms
• Strong understanding of the Zimbabwean consumer market and cultural context
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple brands simultaneously, and meet deadlines
• Experience running Facebook and Instagram paid advertising campaigns
• Basic photography skills and an eye for product and lifestyle photography
• Experience with WhatsApp Business API or broadcast list management
• Knowledge of Meta Business Suite and analytics tools
• Familiarity with fashion, retail, or wholesale industries
