Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following full time positions on two-year renewable contracts under the Global Environmental Facility (GEF) funded project titled *Urban and Peri-Urban Ecosystems in Zimbabwe for Sustainable Food Systems in Zimbabwe*. MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER

Station: Harare Metropolitan Province (with travel to Bulawayo Metropolitan Province)

Under the general supervision of the Technical Project Coordinator, the incumbent will support planning, monitoring, and evaluation of project performance and promote learning and knowledge sharing among stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of the project M&E plan, results framework, and reporting systems aligned with GEF requirements.
• Develop and maintain M&E tools, templates, and reporting instruments.
• Manage and safeguard M&E data systems and records.
• Validate quarterly performance reports from project partners.
• Develop and manage baseline data collection systems for tracking project outcomes.
• Coordinate collection and analysis of gender-disaggregated and social inclusion data.
• Integrate findings into adaptive management and knowledge-sharing processes.
• Conduct quality assurance of project reports and support midterm and final evaluations.


Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

• Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Development Studies, Statistics, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum of seven years’ experience in M&E of complex multi-stakeholder development projects.
• Strong expertise in results-based management, impact evaluation, and logical frameworks.
• Knowledge of Theory of Change approaches in environmental or climate-related programmes.
• Familiarity with GEF indicators and M&E guidelines.
• Ability to translate technical data into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in digital M&E tools (e.g. KoboToolbox, Power BI) and geospatial analysis is an advantage.
• Fluency in English, Ndebele, and Shona. AutomatingQuality Control
