VACANCY: MINING GEOLOGIST

Job Summary
Our client, a reputable mining company, is seeking a highly organised, proactive, and results-oriented mining geologist to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for production geology, exploration geology, underground mining operations, underground diamond drilling, geological mapping, geological sampling, trenching and drill collar positioning and assessments.
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, leadership potential, team-oriented with ability to work independently, high attention to detail, safety conscious and able to perform effectively under pressure. BuyMaps

Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinating and supervising underground explorations.
• Conducting drill collar positioning and site assessments.
• Coordinate and motor underground diamond drilling programmes
• Carryout geological mapping and structural observation.
• Preparation of exploration reports and drilling updates for management.
• Collecting, validating and managing geological data.
• Assisting in resource evaluation and exploration targeting.

Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Experience
• A degree, diploma, or professional qualification in geology.
• At least 3 years of practical experience in geology.
• Experience in the mining industry.
• Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft office, gps surveying, Datamine, Sepac and Micromine
