ICT ASSISTANT – EMERITUS REINSURANCE
Harare
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative ICT Assistant to support our digitalization journey through systems
development, automation, ICT support, and technology-driven business improvements. The successful candidate
will work closely with the ICT Manager in developing and maintaining business applications, supporting users,
integrating systems, and implementing automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Developing, testing, deploying and maintaining internal business applications.
• Developing web-based and mobile applications to support business operations.
• Assisting in the implementation of digitalization and business process automation initiatives.
• Developing and maintaining integrations between business systems and third-party applications.
• Developing and maintaining databases, SQL queries and reports.
• Participating in system testing, troubleshooting and resolving software defects.
• Providing first-line ICT support by troubleshooting hardware, software and system-related issues.
• Supporting users during system implementations and providing user training where required.
• Preparing technical documentation, user guides and system documentation.
• Supporting cybersecurity initiatives by adhering to ICT policies and secure software development
practices.
• Assisting in researching and evaluating emerging technologies, including AI and automation solutions, to
enhance business efficiency and innovation.


Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should possess:
• A Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer science.
• A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrable software development skills and a strong development portfolio.
• Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
