Description
A Kwekwe based mining company is seeking an experienced and safety
focused excavator operator to join the mining production team. This role is
responsible for operating large hydraulic excavator. The successful candidate
will be part of a close-knit crew where hitting production targets goes hand in
hand with an unwavering commitment to zero harm, equipment care and
teamwork.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Operate large production excavators (SANY TRACKED HYDRAULIC
EXCAVATOR) to load blasted material into 150T - 400T haul trucks.
2. Safely dig to design grades, maintaining high wall integrity, pit floors and
berms in line with mine plans
3. Perform comprehensive pre-start inspections, complete equipment defect
reports and carry out routine maintenance including greasing and fluid
level checks.
4. Immediately report any safety incidents, near misses, geotechnical
concerns, or equipment damage to the shift supervisor
5. Maintain exceptional housekeeping standards inside and around the
machine at all times.


Qualifications and Experience
1. Minimum of 3 years experience operating large excavator specifically in
an open pit, production and mining environment.
2. Proven competence in bench loading, selective digging, floor maintenance
and working in variable ground conditions with a strong and
understanding of production pressures and payload management.
3. Valid High Risk Work License ( or national equivalent) for the relevant
class of equipment and a current unrestricted driver's license. Fulltime jobs
