Safeguard Integrity Testing

Safeguard Zimbabwe offers Voice Stress Analysis (VSA) as a specialized integrity testing service designed to identify deception by analyzing vocal characteristics. Unlike traditional polygraph tests that measure physiological markers like heart rate or skin conductivity, VSA is a non-invasive process that detects stress transferred from the vagus nerve to the vocal cords.

Key Applications of VSA
Pre-Employment Screening: Helps verify the integrity, honesty, and overall suitability of job applicants, particularly for positions involving trust or access to high-value assets.

Employee Integrity Testing: Ideal for ongoing assessments of staff in high-risk or sensitive roles. It is also used during promotion evaluations to ensure continued trustworthiness.

Investigative Support: Serves as a tool during internal investigations to identify inconsistencies, verify statements, and narrow the focus of an investigation when theft or fraud is suspected.

Benefits and Limitations
Subject-Friendly: Because it requires no physical attachments or electrodes, it is considered more comfortable and less intimidating than a polygraph.

Efficiency: It allows for real-time analysis and prompt decision-making, which can be critical in corporate or domestic theft cases.

Legal Standing: In Zimbabwe, while VSA is used for internal decision-making and narrowing suspect lists, its findings are currently not recognized as evidence in court.

Versatility: Safeguard provides these services across multiple sectors, including mining, transport, finance (teller integrity), and even for domestic staff.
