Project: Nature Positive Food Systems for Climate Change Adaptation (Nature+)

Location: Nhedziwa, Chimanimani

Objectives

We are a local NGO seeking a dedicated Peace and Governance Graduate Intern to support the implementation of peacebuilding and governance initiatives within the Nature+ Project. The intern will assist with data collection, research, analysis, and documentation related to these activities, while contributing to the development of relevant policies and strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities

● Assist in organizing events, workshops, training sessions, and logistics for nature and peace governance initiatives.
● Draft reports, minutes, briefs, and other documents related to the project.
● Collaborate with stakeholders, including government officials, civil society organizations, and community leaders.
● Analyze data to provide insights for peace and governance initiatives.
● Conduct research on peace and governance issues, trends related to common pool resources, and best practices.
● Develop and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders, particularly at the ward level.
● Support administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
● Collaborate in Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (PMEL).
● Undertake any other duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Experience
Requirements

● Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Peace Studies, Governance, International Relations, Geography, Environmental Studies, Disaster Management, Natural Resources Management).
● Strong skills in research, analysis, documentation, and report writing.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Familiarity with peacebuilding, governance, natural resource management, and disaster risk reduction issues related to common pool resources.
