Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated and task-oriented individuals to fill the following positions that have arisen within the Engineering Department.

HEAVY DUTY DRIVERS ×4

Reports to: Roads Technician.

Duties and Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities

* Driving Council vehicles as directed by the immediate supervisor.
* Grader and other yellow machines operation for roads construction activities.
* Grader and other yellow machines operation for roads maintenance activities.
* Ensuring that the vehicle/equipment records are maintained.
* Ensuring that pre-checks are done (oil, coolant, water, brake fluid, etc.).
* Ensuring that the vehicles/equipment are cleaned and serviced.
* Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.


Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have the following qualifications and experience:

* 5 ‘O’ Levels.
* Clean Class 2 Driver’s Licence.
* A certificate in Earth Moving Machinery, specifically for Motorized Graders and other yellow machines, is a must.
* At least 3 years of traceable and relevant experience in operating earth moving machinery (motorized grader).
