Sino-Zimbabwe Cement Company, a leading cement manufacturer situated 38 km from Gweru in Midlands Province, is looking for competent and experienced persons to fill the following position:

CHEMICAL ENGINEER X 1

Duties and Responsibilities
THE JOB

* Involves controlling and optimizing raw mix design, clinker production and cement milling to achieve quality targets.
* Entails monitoring and analysing kiln, cooler and mill operations, chemical composition of raw materials, clinker and cement.
* Includes conducting daily XRF and other physico-chemical analysis and interpreting results for process adjustment.
* Involves optimization of plant operations, attending to process deviations and recommendation of corrective actions.
* Requires following of SOPs and adherence to SHEQ Management System standards.
* Requires ability to interpret process diagrams and manuals in Mandarin.
* Entails the ability to relate Chinese process standards to other international standards. BuyLumber

Qualifications and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS

* Degree in Chemical Technology/Chemical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
* 10-year hands-on experience working in the cement industry.
* Ability to read and understand technical documentation is a prerequisite
