238,000 OG kms on the clock. The car has a long crank upon the initial engine start-up of the day, and it’s roughly idling.The engine is also failing to idle on its own when still cold and needs some assistance by depressing the gas pedal. As soon it begins to warm up; it finally idles without the driver's input, and at this point; the engine cranks and starts with ease. Though the rough-idling still remains.

However, the engine itself is in great condition and it revs and performs wonderfully. But it’s due for an oil change.The spark plugs, fuel filter and air filter were changed not too long ago, as well as the high-pressure fuel pump. The turbocharger boosts well and the car cruises smoothly on the motorway.
New brake pads were also fitted all around 2 years ago, and the car decelerates and stops as it should.

The 5-speed manual gearbox and its clutch mechanism are in great condition, and the gearing system engages perfectly with no slips and juddering.

The bodywork has a few minor scratches and age-related marks as you'd expect from a 14-year-old vehicle, but is in overall very good condition and free of accident and respray. It's still a good-looking car.

Suspension: Apart from the rear shocks that need replacement: all other components are in good condition.

Interior: except for the headliner that needs to be refitted; all other interior aspects are still in good shape - inclusive of the black leather seats.

Electricals: The front and rear left passenger power windows are not functioning.The stereo stopped turning on recently due to a blown fuse. Never bothered to look into it. Aside from that, everything else is in good working order. That said, it needs a new battery.

All 4 tyres that are coupled with the 16-inch original Audi alloys, match and are in excellent condition, with 90% of tread remaining. There's an original sparewheel too that's still in good shape. Unfortunately, I misplaced the jack but the wheel nut wrench is available.

Licence and Insurance: expired on December 23, last year (2023).

Reason for sale: looking to migrate to something with an automatic transmission since it has become a tiresome task for me to manually change gears every time I'm behind the wheel. Had this car been an automatic - I would have kept it.

A part exchange (or swop) is accepted depending on the car and its overall cosmetic and mechanical condition.

The asking price (of US$3,400) is negotiable upon inspection, so come take a look at it before you make an offer.
All trials and examinations are more than welcome. Potential buyers need to bring a few litres of petrol, a decent battery and a mechanic to properly examine the vehicle and test-drive it until satisfied.
