Job Description
An exciting opportunity for the position of Accounts Officer - Debtors has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced person at Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd. Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd is an extensive, local and international provider of high quality and durable timber-based solutions for both industrial, domestic and end user markets. The successful incumbent will report to the Financial Accountant and shall be based in Harare.

Job Summary
To produce income statements and undertake reconciliations of Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities
a) Manage Debtors accounts and ensure that they are in line with credit limits and payment terms
b) Perform Debtors’ reconciliation and prepare an accurate debtors aging
c) Performing Daily Sales reconciliations to actual cash received and electronic transfer done in ATZ bank accounts
d) Prepare and process exchange control clearances and acquittal of Bills of Entry and CD1s.
e) Prepare and compile statutory returns and submit on time
f) Prepare year-end procedures for debtors control account and Audit file
g) Prepares & posts of journals, stocks, depreciation, payroll etc.
h) Prepares year end procedures for control accounts and Audit preparation


Qualifications and Experience
a) Degree in Accounting or Finance or Part B Professional studies CIS, CIMA
b) Minimum of 2 -years’ experience in Accounting or Finance
