Job Description
We’re looking for a detail-driven Accounting Officer to own our day-to-day finances and keep everything compliant, accurate, and audit-ready.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly management accounts. Run variance analysis and produce full financial statements up to finalization.

2. Statutory Compliance
Ensure full compliance with Zimbabwean regulations. Handle timely filings for ZIMRA - PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax - plus NSSA and PRAZ obligations.

3. Transactional Accounting
Manage accounts payable and receivable, process vendor payments, reconcile bank and ledger accounts, and oversee petty cash.

4. Controls & Audit Support
Review internal controls, maintain the asset register, prepare audit files, and conduct periodic stocktakes.

5. Budgeting & Cost Control
Support annual budget preparation, monitor spend against budget, and work with department managers to control costs.


Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CIS
- Experience: 2–5+ years in accounting. Experience in manufacturing, retail, or public sector is a plus
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Pastel, Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar. Advanced MS Excel skills required
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of IFRS and Zimbabwean corporate tax frameworks
