The main purpose of the job is to gather data and capture the information into databases that are being used under the input disbursement project. This may include gathering documents from various areas and regions. This may also include extracting information from tickets of sold bales, capturing data into the IFMS (Integrated floor management System).
Duties And Responsibilities
Prepare, sort and check all records for the purpose of data entry and make sure that accurate data is being entered.
Printing of tickets and distribute tickets to the floor.
Capture tickets for sold bales, internal stop orders
Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures
Verify data by comparing it to source documents
Update existing project data
Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
Data cleaning and recording errors encountered during data entry
Checking completed work for accuracy, liaise with IT Manager for incomplete records
To check all records captured in the IFMS and to ensure that the information is accurate
Maintain an organized filling system.
Qualifications And Experience
A minimum of a diploma in Social sciences, statistics or equivalent, or a professional qualification in information technology.
+1-year proven experience in data entry and management
Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
The incumbent should be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to uphold high standards of data confidentiality principles
Knowledge of mobile data collection and apps a distinct advantage.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Remains productive when under pressure.
Demonstrates a systematic and efficient approach to work.
Works collaboratively with team members and maintain compatibility to achieve results
