Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic legal counsel, oversee global legal operations, lead transaction management (Mergers and Acquisitions, Joint Ventures), ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate risks, advise on corporate governance, and manage contracts. Lead and develop a high-performing legal team and external counsel relationships.


Qualifications and Experience
Requirements include:
• A Bachelor of Laws Degree
• A Master of Laws Degree is an added advantage.
• 10+ years post-qualification experience, with 5+ years in a senior in-house legal leadership role within a diversified group.
• Essential extensive legal experience in oil, gas, and mining.
• Proven track record in complex international legal matters and transactions, especially in emerging markets.
• Strong expertise in corporate law, international contracts, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to speak multiple international languages is a plus.
