Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
• Planning and budgeting for cartographic activities
• Drawing of technical plans (surface and underground mine plans and a variety of illustrations to accompany technical reports, Annual and Board Meeting Reports
• Updating and maintaining corporate tenements database.
• Generate drill hole / section plans.
• Historical data capturing, eg from the Geo Survey technical library.
• Making display artwork for MPC (e.g. Mining Indaba, Mine Entra and Investor Conferences,)
• Maintaining an effective and motivated workforce.
• Ensuring optimum utilization of resources human or otherwise.
• Developing and implementing SHE programmes in the workplace.
• Mentoring and training junior employees.
• Carrying out any other relevant duties as delegated by the Head of Department from time to time.


Qualifications and Experience
Requirements:
• Degree in Geology/GIS/Cartography or equivalent
• Diploma in GIS/Cartography
• A clean Class 4 Driver's licence an added advantage.
• At least 2 years' experience in similar position.
