Financial Accountant

Duties and Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities: Jobapplication assistance

* Lead the finance and accounting function across head office and mine sites.
* Build and run mining cost accounting: cost per tonne and per ounce, AISC, and monthly variance analysis.
* Structure and manage project, debt and offtake finance, and prepare bankable funding packages.
* Produce IFRS financial statements and monthly management accounts, and manage the external audit end to end.
* Design and enforce financial controls and treasury, including gold and mineral custody reconciliation from mine to sale.


Qualifications and Experience
Requirements:

* Qualified accountant: CA(Z), ACCA or CIMA, with a degree in Accounting or Finance.
* 6 to 8 years post-qualification experience, including 3 to 4 in a senior accountant or financial controller role.
* Mining industry experience strongly preferred (gold, base metals or aggregates).
* Strong project finance, financial modelling and IFRS audit experience.
* Knowledge of ZIMRA, RBZ exchange control and mineral marketing; unquestionable integrity.
