Collect all materials needed for fieldwork and be responsible for the safety of all materials given especially the tablet.
Accompany Team Leader for community entry meetings.
Visit households as assigned by the Team Leader and approach participants as assigned by Team Leader or Household Lead.
Conduct consent procedures for all survey consent forms in accordance to Good Clinical Practice.
Create good rapport and conduct individual interviews with survey participants using the tablet.
Inform the Team Leader of interviews completed and partially completed on a daily basis.
Schedule return visits for any incomplete interviews.
Inform Team Leader of any return visits scheduled.
Assist in conducting pre and post-test risk reduction counselling.
Provide referrals to social services.
Report any unanticipated incidents to the Team Leader.
A Social Science Degree or equivalent qualification required
Previous experience in research using the tablet
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in local language
Ability to work in a team setting desirable
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in local languages
Ability to speak other local languages such as Tonga, Venda, Kalanga, Nambiya and Shangani is an added advantage.
Previous PHIA experience is an added advantage
Extensive travel throughout Zimbabwe during the entire implementation phase of the PHIA Project
