Company Secretary

Reporting to the CEO, the Company Secretary shall be responsible for the following: –

Duties And Responsibilities
Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
Providing secretarial services to the Board and Board Committees including convening of meetings.
Providing legal advice to the Board and Management.
Enforcing the compliance with the provisions of the Radiation Protection Act.
Preparing and distributing the annual report of the Authority.
Overseeing the corporate communications of the Authority.
Liaison with external legal counsel.
Overseeing the drafting of radiation protection related legislation.
Overseeing and maintenance of all legal documentation to ensure that the interests of the Authority are adequately protected or safeguarded.

Qualifications And Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

A Law degree.
Master’s degree in either law or commercial field (MBA, Strategic Management, Corporate Strategy, MBL, etc.)
Registration with the Law Society of Zimbabwe.
A minimum 10 years of corporate secretary and legal services experience, with at least 5 years as a senior manager.
Regulatory experience and knowledge of nuclear law provide an added advantage.
Knowledge of Government Operation Systems, including National Policies, Legal framework.
