Before becoming an agent it's very important you understand our website and the products we are selling.  Below is the questionnaire we will give you before approving you as an agent.  All the answers are included to help you study!

visitors are people who come and browse the website, registered users are those that actually sign up to advertise

*  what are the 7 tabs accross the top of Classifieds and what do they do?
1. Home Page - lists all the main categories
2. Post Free Ad - post a quick free advert, no registration necessary
3. My Account - this is where you log in with your username and password
4. Company Storefronts- this lists all the companies within several industries, displays their logo and number of adverts
5. Online FAQ - This explains about the website and answers frequently asked questions
6. Print FAQ - This explains about advertising in the print
7. Contact us - Webdev contact details and map.

*  how do I receive the latest ads on email from Classifieds?
On the home page in the right column there is an option to subscribe to any category newsletter. Once a week you will receive a list of all the latest adverts in the category that interests you.

*  how do I view the adverts posted in the last 24 hours?
On the home page in the right column there is an option to view adverts posted in the last 24 hours, week, 2 weeks or 3 weeks.

*  how can I tell how many people are on the Classifieds website at any one time?
On the home page in the right column there is an option to view how many local and how many international users are on the site.

*  Is this website fast for people outside of Zimbabwe, if so why?
Yes it is, The website is mirrored locally and internationally and detects where the user is from and sends them to the most efficient website. That is why you have to click 'stats on other server' if you want to see how many people are on the other website.  If you post something on 1 website, the other updates automatically so they are both up to date.

*  When you search Google for something, there are normally thousands of websites and results to choose from, where do we come up when people search for Zimbabwe property, cars, jobs, computers etc.
We come up # 1, this has taken years to achieve and increases our traffic tremendously.

*  Is the Classifieds website in the top 10 most visited websites in Zimbabwe?  If so which others does it compare to?
yes, we're in the top 10 together with google, facebook, the herald, standard, independent etc.

* can people post free adverts, if so how many?  can they post pictures and prices?
yes, they can post as many adverts as they like with pictures and prices

*  give 6 advantages of having a Storefront

*  What is an advertisers minimum requirement to advertise on Classifieds?
just a phone number and email addresss so enquiries can be directed to them.

*  if a client is not computer literate or does not have resources, can we manage their Storefront and adverts for them?
yes, either with a once off fee to set it up, or monthly for a small monthly fee.

*  if a client wants to learn how to manage their own Storefront, can they do this?
yes, either using our free online tutorial or they can pay for a once off training session.


*  if a client has their own website, would they benefit on Classifieds?
yes, Classifieds will only increase their exposure and sales, it will not take anything away from them having their own website. It's the same as if a client already advertises in the Standard Paper, advertising in another paper will only bring benefits and is not competitive.

*  if a client has no website, or a non functional out of date website, what benefits would a mirrored website bring?

*  can a client have a mirrored website without having a Storefront?
no, they have to have a Storefront because their mirrored website reads directly from their storefront.

*  how many pictures can I place with my advert? Can I upload any size picture?
you can place 10 pictures, the ideal size is 500 x 500 pixels, however you can select any picture from your computer and the website will automatically resize it.  If you have a slow internet connection we suggest you resize images before uploading them.

*  what do clients need to provide to have their Storefront activated?
company address, email & phone #, payment, their logo and which category they would like their Storefront in.

*  can clients post general non specific adverts, like 'tools for sale'
no, products must be specific ideally with a picture and price for each individual item. this is in the clients best interest because browsers are searching for specific things.  For example, a client searching for a hammer would not search for tools.  Also we are introducing a shopping cart function soon to allow people to order each item online.

*  how can clients monitor their response from the website?
clients are emailed monthly with how many times each advert is viewed.  clients can also log in to view their statistics and any email messages, however these are also emailed direct to them.  it would be a good idea to quizz new customers asking how they found out about their products?

*  if a client is unsatisfied and wants to close their account what final questions do you ask them?
1.  are you aware of how many views each of your adverts have received?
2.  are you receiving the emails that have been sent to you?
3.  are you questioning clients how they found you, very few will say they saw you on Classifieds.
4.  have you got flyers to hand to clients to remind them to find you 24/7 on Classifieds?
5.  have you got a sticker on site reminding clients about your products on Classifieds?
6.  have you compaired your products with your competition on our website, perhaps their Storefront is more optimised?
7.  we have a stamp saying 'find us on www.classifieds.co.zw' would you like to put that on your marketing media?

* If a company does not have a logo or the correct size logo can we help?
Yes, we can create and design a new logo for a small fee, however resizing existing logos is free.


*  can clients put links on their Storefront to their own website?
no, unfortunately we do not permit clients to advertise their own website address, this reduces the credibitily of our website in google searches if we link off to hundreds of other websites.  It also defeats the object of having a one stop shop if shoppers have to branch off to various other websites to find what they're looking for.

*  can clients include their email addresses.
yes, there is an email link next to each advert and at the top of each Storefront which allows browsers to email clients direct from a built in email contact form.  We do not encourage people type out their email address because spam harvestors and robots search the web for such email addresses to send spam to.  Protect your email address by using our contact forms.
